Catherine Rogala | Sophie, Writer & Producer 

Catherine is a producer, writer and Sag-Aftra AEA actor living in NYC. She is an advocate of gender parity in the arts and founded Rogala Productions, a company committed to creating female driven stories told by female creative teams.

Katey Russo | Producer & Director

Katey is a director, producer and actress. She studied acting and directing at Clarion University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2010. Since then she has been working in NYC in the advertising, film and television industries. Rogala Productions marks her first film as a director. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Katey has been seen in various readings, plays & musicals throughout New York and Pennsylvania, and in featured roles on network television. As a director Katey has most recently been collaborating with new playwrights and screenwriters.

Kathleen Alquist | Producer

Kathleen is an actor and associate producer based in New York City. She is a proud graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Kathleen has worked as an actor on commercials and feature films and is now thrilled to be working on the other side of the camera as an associate producer for Rogala Productions. She is passionate about equal representation of women in production and believes that Rogala Productions is breaking ground in achieving this goal.

Laura Spotteck | Editor & Colorist

Laura Spotteck is a producer, cinematographer and video editor based out of NYC.  She has a BFA in Theater from Adelphi University.  She currently produces digital video content for The Today Show at NBCUniversal.

Erik Samuelson | Sound & Music

Erik Samuelson is an accomplished Musician, Audio Engineer and Producer based out of Brooklyn, New York and is proudly responsible for the on-set audio capture, post production sound design and original music for Rogala Productions' A Safe Place. Erik owns and operates Three Crown Studio and specializes in audio recording, production, and post production. With a strong passion for both music and technology, he uses this skillset full time to help artists create and share their dreams with the world.

Guenevere Neuhedel | Hair & Make Up Artist

Guenevere is a New York based makeup artist; graduate of the Master Makeup Program at Make Up Designory in New York City.  Artistic techniques include special effects makeup (both prosthetic production and application), injuries and blood-work, as well as natural, beauty, and fashion. Experience includes a variety of film projects ranging from webseries to independent films.

Bettina Goolsby | Dinah

Bettina trained at the William Esper Studio as well as The People’s Improv Theater. Originally from Virginia, Bettina graduated with a business degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. She lives for travel, long walks, memorable moments spent with friends, kettle corn popcorn and adventures of all kinds, with the biggest adventure being the creator and host of her podcast, Somindboggling Journeys which can be heard on iTunes, Google Play, Tune In, Stitcher and SoundCloud.

George Deihl Jr | Adam

George Deihl is an actor writer, voice-over artist. He has acted in theaters around the country and  created mysterious and haunted characters in original plays like Rich in John Dapolito's "Killer Midgets" and Tucker Brandon in "Pennsyltucky". His film and television credits include: "When in Rome", “We’ll Test it on Humans", "New York November" and  "Rescue Me". He just completed writing and starring in, “Issues”, a short film deconstructing comic books and mental health. He is also comic book illustrator and concept artist Bixel Boon(e).

Pia Haddad | Location Coordinator & Production Assistant

Pia is a Lebanese-American producer and actor based in NYC.

Kevin Russo | Production Assistant

Kevin is an NYC-based actor and a huge fan of this film! Kevin is an Advanced Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, and certified in all 8 weapon disciplines. He is also currently a resident teaching assistant with Neutral Chaos Combat. Much love to Catherine Rogala and Katey Russo for creating this lovely piece of art, and to a lengthy collaboration in the future!

Erica Sattler | Director of Photography

Erica is a filmmaker from Long Island and worked as cinematographer on A Safe Place. She studied filmmaking at Hofstra University, where she focused on cinematography and color grading.

Jacob Zucker | Assistant Camera

Jacob is a filmmaker from Putnam County and worked as assistant camera on A Safe Place. He studied filmmaking at Hofstra University, where he focused on cinematography and editing.
